Dionne Kirby is truly a story of diligence. When we first met Deedee she was trying to identify what this music thing is all about. Well she has not only figured it out but has worked to stay on top.
"I wake up every morning singing...whether I'm excited, furious, confused or whatever else I might feel, there's music in my head and it's coming out of me all the time," Deedee Kirby says, as she describes what pushed her to actively pursue her musical dreams. She continues saying she listens to the voice inside because "[music] is therapy for me and I knew it would be for my fans, too."

Dionne has covered a lot of ground since she decided to become a solo artist. She's performed at the Wolf Trap and Ritz-Carlton hotels, and HR-57 in DC to name a few. The Singer/Song-Writer has worked with 3rdSide for the last two years. She was a back-up singer for EMI gospel artist, LaShun Pace and can be seen performing at local venues along the east coast.

She received professional training at the Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts. This high school cultivated famous talents like Kirk Whalum, Eyrkah Badu and one of Deedee's fellow graduates, Norah Jones.

3rdSide productions has produced two songs for Deedee. Working with Snúhgie of 3rdSide productions, we developed "To Good to Be True" and "Be Sure". Both songs are great and fit her direction as an artist.  "Her vocal range is powerful and at times we had to come up with ingenious configurations of equipment to capture her sound without damaging the system", says Rob Sharp chief engineer.  Our creative sessions were always enjoyable as Deedee brings a bright smile and vivid imagination. We also had the pleasure of working with Deedee in support of Interstages. This organization supports young girls from Southeast DC.

"There's nothing I enjoy more than creating music with a keyboardist or taking the mic at a jam session. I love being challenged by talented musicians. States the songstress.  We hope you take time to visit her website at; http://dionnemusic.com/
